This piece is a central part and the inspiration for the Sweet, Sour and Umami triptych. In delicate detail, it features a red and pink rose suspended within a glass, accompanied by the mesmerizing play of light and caustic patterns (characteristic of many of Zdenka’s still life compositions)..
Whilst the colours are strong and vibrant, dominated by an almost palatable honey-like golden yellow, a single fallen petal reminds the viewer of the fleeing nature of this tender flower arrangement.
